PadLoop costs a one-time price, shown in your currency in the store (€9.99 in Europe), with no subscription and no ads. First you get 7 days with everything unlocked, plugins included. If you don't buy, it stays free forever with 2 banks (pages of 16 pads), 2 looper tracks (the layers of your song) and one project, and everything you made keeps playing.

Same deal for everyone, no exceptions. No subscription to remember to cancel, and not even a PadLoop account to create: you buy through Google Play or the App Store, like any other app.

Start with the trial: 7 days with the whole app, plugins included, and no charge at the end.On iPhone: in MORE tap the top row, then Start the free trial. It costs nothing and does not renew.

What you get to try in 7 days

The whole app: all 8 banks, the sampler, the Sound library, Ready banks and Ready beats, export, up to 16 tracks, unlimited projects with backups, your own saved banks and the plugins (Stem split for splitting songs, sound kits and instruments). The trial runs for 7 calendar days, ends on its own and charges nothing.

  • On Android it starts by itself at first launch, with no sign-up and no card.
  • On iPhone you start it yourself: go to MORE, tap the top row, then Start the free trial. It's a zero-price App Store purchase, which is how Apple lets an app without a subscription offer a timed trial.

The strip at the top shows how many days are left, and on the last day the app tells you.

One tip for the trial: banks A and B are the ones you keep afterwards, so put your own recordings there. Paid sounds, Ready banks and Ready beats go on the other banks.

Use the trial to find out what you really need: export a track, sample your voice, split a song, load a Ready beat. By day seven you'll know which features you can't do without.

What stays free forever

When the trial ends, PadLoop doesn't lock you out or nag you. You keep playing with:

  • banks A and B: 32 pads full of sounds, with touch dynamics and the pencil to change their volume, pitch and echo
  • 2 looper tracks, which you can also record on with the microphone
  • the Keyboard, which lays one sound out in a scale across the pads
  • the bolt effects you hold down, and ⟳, which repeats a hit in time (note repeat and arpeggiator)
  • SEQ, the step sequencer, on tracks 1 and 2
  • MIDI controllers and pedals
  • one project

If you've changed A or B beyond recognition, Factory A and Factory B in the Ready banks bring them back to day one. You can always listen to the previews of the Ready banks and Ready beats.

And your projects, when the trial ends?

They stay. The app limits creating more, never what already exists.

  • Recorded loops keep playing, including the ones on tracks 3 to 16 and the ones made with sounds from locked banks.
  • Tracks you already recorded can always be played, muted and cleared; recording again works on the 2 free tracks.
  • Projects you made during the trial stay in the list and still open; starting a new one beyond the first needs the full version.
  • Sounds you recorded yourself onto banks A and B stay there and keep playing.

If you buy later, you'll find everything exactly where you left it.

New phone? Your purchase comes with you

The purchase belongs to the store account you bought with, not to the phone.

  1. On the new phone, sign in with the same Google Play account (Android) or the same Apple ID (iPhone).
  2. Install PadLoop and open it. On Android the app checks your account's purchases at launch, and the full version often comes back without you doing anything.
  3. If it doesn't, go to MORE, tap the top row, then Restore purchases. On iPhone the App Store may ask for your Apple ID password.

The app tells you how it went: Purchase restored, or "No purchase to restore on this account" if you're signed in with a different account from the one you paid with.

Restoring the purchase doesn't move your projects, which live on the phone. Before switching, go to MORE → Projects and export each project to a file, sounds included (backup is part of the full version); on the new phone you import it from the same menu.

Requirements

  • Android 7 or later, iPhone with iOS 15 or later.
  • Splitting songs with the Stem split plugin needs at least 3 GB of RAM on Android and 4 GB on iPhone, plus 300 MB of free space. On phones with less memory the plugin stays off, so the app doesn't crash halfway through.
  • Sampling from other apps, capturing whatever your phone is playing, works on Android 10 or later only.
  • Internet is only needed to download the optional plugins (Stem split is 79 MB, kits and instruments 1 to 9 MB each) and to buy or restore. Everything else works offline: PadLoop is an offline beat maker.
  • The app is in English, Italian and Spanish: it follows your phone's language, and you can pick one by hand in MORE.

Permissions, where your audio is processed and who makes the app are on the about PadLoop page.

Frequently asked questions

Is PadLoop free?

Yes. After the 7-day trial it stays free forever with banks A and B, 2 looper tracks (microphone included), the Keyboard, the effects and one project. If you want everything else, a single purchase unlocks it.

Why pay if there is a free version?

The free version is for playing. Full PadLoop is for finishing: 16 tracks for a whole song, export to share it, Ready beats and your own songs to play over. One payment at a one-time price, shown in your currency in the store (€9.99 in Europe), no subscription, and you keep it.

Can I release beats made with PadLoop?

Yes: the sounds, Ready banks, Ready beats and plugins can be used in your own music, released music included. You can't redistribute them as standalone sounds, and parts taken from other people's songs need their rights.

Does PadLoop have ads or a subscription?

Neither. There are no ads in PadLoop, not for paying users and not in the free version, and there is no subscription: the full version is paid for once.

Will I be charged when the trial ends?

No. The trial ends on its own and charges nothing. On Android it starts at first launch without asking for any payment details; on iPhone it is a zero-price App Store purchase.

If I don't buy, do I lose what I made?

No. Everything you made stays yours and keeps playing: recorded loops always play back and your projects still open. You just can't make new things with the paid features.

I got a new phone. Do I have to pay again?

No. Sign in with the same Google Play account or Apple ID you bought with and tap Restore purchases on the full-version page (MORE, the top row). On Android the purchase often comes back by itself at first launch.

I paid but the app is still locked. What now?

With some slow payment methods the store keeps the purchase pending: the app shows Payment in progress and unlocks on its own once the store confirms. Otherwise tap Restore purchases with your connection on.

Does PadLoop work offline?

Yes. You play, record, sample and split songs without internet. You only need a connection to download the optional plugins and to reach the store when you buy or restore.

Can I export my tracks?

Yes, with full PadLoop or during the trial: export to MP3 or WAV, also as separate tracks to finish the song on a computer, and record your live performance.

Does it work with Bluetooth headphones?

Yes, but Bluetooth headphones add a delay no app can remove, usually 100 to 300 ms, so you hear each hit after you tap. For playing the pads, use wired headphones or the phone speaker.
